Program Description:

Girls with Purpose Afterschool Program is offered to girls in grades K-5. The Afterschool Program offers a structure environment filled with exceptional female mentors dedicated to helping our girls excel academically and socially. GWP Afterschool Program provides age appropriate activities that will enhance and enrich our students by working on subjects covered in school, working with our students teachers, learning study skill strategies, and providing leadership, career development, and social skills building sessions. All students are tested (reading & math) the first week of the afterschool program to determine academic strength and weakness. A Student Success Academic plan will be created for each youth.

 

We pair academic support with fun and exciting activities that builds happy and healthy girls. Our intended purpose of the Girls with Purpose Afterschool program is to offer Academic Support that will take our youth to the next level academically. Additionally, we offer youth mentoring, small study groups, and monthly life skills training themes (sewing, cooking, haircare, skincare, hygiene, and etc) to assist in developing our youth to their full potential as leaders in today's society.  Transportation is limited and only pick up to schools in Miami Gardens. Schools we currently pick up from is Parkway Elementary, Norland Elementary, Scott Lake Elementary, Norwood Elementary, and Norland Middle School.
